To Adopt a Child at a Distance there is a donation of 250 Euros per year.
Adoption at a distance is a microproject that addresses the needs of deprived children in the developing world. Your support will mean that your adopted child will be able to grow up within his or her own family and community without fear of being removed just because of poverty.
Hundreds of millions of children in the developing world lack the basic means of normal childhood development – food, health, shelter and schooling. Adoption at a distance by families or individuals from the developed world is a disinterested and comprehensive response to the needs of a child in the developing world.
The fundamental aspect of this initiative is that it reaches to the heart of the problems of poverty and can immediately relieve the miseries of children who, with time, may grow up to be able to help themselves, their communities and the countries to which they belong. We thus advise our donors that they should think in terms of maintaining an adoption for at least 3 years.
During the ‘adoption at a distance’ it will be possible, via the missionary concerned, to have news of, and contact with, your adopted child. In fact, it is the missionary in the field who recommends the children for adoption and it is the missionary who maintains the relationship with the benefactor. The donation is sent in its entirety directly to the missionary for the use of the child, via the missionary’s institute in Italy.
