Ndjanganè is inhabited by about 10,000 people living in 12 villages. It consists of only two ethnic groups: Bobilis and Mbethen, and this is not conducive to open to different changes in behavior and development in a region dominated mainly rural poverty is still today, unfortunately AIDS. The population is young and growing, families are very numerous. The low productivity of land, as it grows again with primitive systems and tools inadequate, fails to fill the minimum requirement even for livelihoods of the population, with a particular shortage of food protein: most people consume only one meal day. These and other causes of the continuous and constant nourishment of children and adults of villaggio.Un great dream that is slowly becoming a reality Ndjanganè is the construction of stone houses and no longer in the mud, and in particular, Mission is working to build a Center for Health and Nutrition in the village, thanks to the labor of many fathers. In this way, moreover, these fathers may also have a minimum wage to provide for the subsistence of their families.

The Mission is based in an extremely poor area, inhabited almost exclusively by an indigenous population that has migrated from the Andina region. Sisters host indigent children, destitute of any support or education, living in dire buildings some 20-30 kilometres from S. Cruz de la Sierra. Children are exposed to all sorts of risk: illnesses, crime, poverty, traffic in human organs.

The sisters operate in the Thevanpara area, in the North of Trivandrum. Kerala is extremely poor and densely populated. Local inhabitants live on fishing and subsistence activities, constantly facing a precarious economic situation. Their houses are made of plaited coconut leaves: they cannot afford better housing with their meagre income. Providing employment to the head of household will improve the economic status of the whole family, giving them the possibility of living a better, healthier and more secure life, out of poverty.
